Greensomes and Gigs

The County Greensomes took place at Glynhir on August 5th. It was an enjoyable day for all, with Glynhir, as always, being excellent hosts.

The results were:

Sonia Davies & Elaine Rees,  Glynhir      44 points
Gill Sumner & Anwen John,  Glynhir        41 points
Ann Dassen & Bethan Morris, Trefloyne   38 points

On August 8th, the Adult Junior Golfing Gig Competition was held at Carmarthen Golf Club.
 
It was a beautiful day and every one who took part enjoyed the experience. All the Juniors had to tee of on every hole,and their was definite friction when the adults didn't pull their weight.  The winners were Lowri and her Dad David Thomas (right), Lowri Played very well almost chipping in on the 6th hole for an eagle, and sinking a 25ft putt on the 7th hole.



Carys (left) and her Granddad Arthur Phillips  had a sudden rush of points in the last few holes giving them second place. Just behind them with only one point in it, was Olivia Martin and Sion Jenkins (left). We were very grateful to Sion who stepped in at the last minute to make up a foursome.. Lucy (right) played some beautiful shots and sank some great putts coming in fourth with her Dad Tim.
